Subjective image quality was rated significantly higher at IMR reconstructions in comparison to iDose4 and FBP. Conspicuity of central and segmental PE significantly improved with the use of IMR. In subsegmental arteries, iDose4 was superior to IMR. Together they produce high image quality with reduced artifacts. iDose⁴ gives you control of the dial so you can personalize image quality based on your patients’ needs at low dose.

Together they produce high image quality with reduced artifacts. Scan to Scan consistency: The iDose4 portion will present the algorithms used for iDose4 as well the different levels. The meaning of different levels of iDose4 available will be presented and quantified. Guidelines for selection iDose4 parameters based on the imaging need will be explained.

Images from the standard examination were reconstructed with a hybrid iterative reconstruction method (iDose4), and images from the low-dose examinations were reconstructed with both iDose4 and IMR. Image quality was evaluated subjectively by three observers, according to modified EU image quality criteria, and evaluated objectively based on the noise observed in liver images.

When used in combination with the advanced CT scan technologies this provides a unique approach to managing important factors in patient care – a new era in low energy, low dose and low injected contrast imaging. The results show that the detection of the solid nodules is robust to imaging parameters, and for GGO detection, reconstruction methods “iDose4-YA” and “STD-YA” achieve better performance. For thin-slice images, higher performance is achieved across different nodule sizes with reconstruction method “iDose4-STD”. For 1-mm thickness images, iDose4-STD and FBP-STD shows a better result in both sensitivity and precision metrics. As for 2-mm thickness images, iDose-YA and FBP-YA gain a better performance.

It is therefore important to optimize the imaging conditions at these investigations. Many steps have been taken to reduce the radiation doses in CT examinations. Currently much work is related to iterative image reconstruction methods as alternative to the filtered back projection method. The aim of this 2013-06-13 · Objective:The aim of this study is to examine the effect of iDose4 hybrid iterative reconstruction algorithm (Philips Healthcare, Cleveland, OH) on radiation dose and image quality in chest–abdomen To assess diagnostic quality of sub milli-Sievert (submSv) chest and abdominal CT reconstructed with iterative model reconstruction (IMR) and iDose4. METHOD AND MATERIALS In a prospective clinical study, 20 patients (BMI<30kg/m2, chest, n=10 age range:26-90; abdomen, n=10 age range:30-84) gave written informed consent for the acquisitions of submSv additional images (0.9mSv) on a 256-slice CT Thermo Fisher 3d reconstruction software amira 3d Reconstruction Software Amira, supplied by Thermo Fisher, used in various techniques.

The end result is an image that looks more like traditional FBP. For example, compared to first-generation IR software, which had a 30 percent shift in the noise frequency spectrum, Philips’ current iDose4 AIM only has an 8-10 percent shift. “That is a remarkable difference in the visual appearance of the image,” Mendel explained.

In subsegmental arteries, iDose4 was superior to IMR. Conclusions: CTPA at reduced radiation exposure and contrast medium volume is feasible with the use of IMR, which provides improved image quality and conspicuity of pulmonary embolism in central and segmental arteries. Overall, the iDose4 algorithm provided superior radiation dose control while maintaining or improving task performance, when compared to FBP. The reader study on image quality improvement of patient cases shows that physicians preferred iDose4-reconstructed images on all cases compared to those from FBP algorithm with overall quality score: 1.21 vs. 3.15, p = 0.0022. Designed to seamlessly integrate into your CT department, iDose4 improves image quality* with the look and feel of conventional images.
